Wilkerson partners with experienced jewelry professionals to facilitate high-volume liquidation sales across the U.S. as independent contractors. Working either individually or alongside a partner as part of an experienced consulting team.
Wilkerson is seeking seasoned jewelry industry leaders and consulting teams who are looking for a flexible, high-impact opportunity and are ready to step into fast-paced, short-term assignments. This role is designed for professionals who bring deep jewelry expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive results in complex, time-sensitive environments.
This is not an entry-level or general retail position. We work exclusively with experienced jewelry professionals who can confidently lead teams, support store owners through transition periods, and execute large-scale liquidation events.
Each engagement is a defined, project-based assignment. Consultants may work independently or alongside a partner as part of a consulting team. Engagements are scheduled throughout the year, and consultants are expected to maintain availability for multiple assignments annually. This structure allows flexibility between projects while supporting the seasonal and operational needs of our clients.
What You Will Do
Lead and execute high-volume liquidation sales assignments
• Serve as the on-site leader for assigned sales events, driving performance and results throughout
the engagement.
• Achieve sales and profit objectives established by the corporate office.
• Maximize the sales potential of each assignment through strong execution and team leadership.
Partner closely with store teams and ownership
• Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment with store associates, bookkeepers,
and managers.
• Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and emotional intelligence when working with store
owners during periods of transition.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer experience and satisfaction throughout the sale.
Provide sales leadership and operational direction
• Develop and present comprehensive selling and marketing strategies, including special events,
staffing plans, budgets, and social media initiatives.
• Lead daily team meetings, goal setting, coaching, and team-selling activities.
• Ensure a clear understanding of performance expectations, timelines, and daily priorities.
Manage communication and reporting
• Maintain consistent communication with Wilkerson’s corporate team and store ownership
throughout the assignment.
• Submit detailed marketing plans and calendars.
• Review store inventory and report discrepancies or operational issues as needed.
Oversee training and team development during the assignment
• Train and coach store teams in supporting execution of the sale strategy.
• Ensure weekly billing, payment, and accounting procedures are completed accurately and within
required timeframes.
How the Role Is Structured
• This role is performed as an independent contractor.
• Each engagement is a short-term, high-intensity assignment, typically lasting 10–12 weeks.
• Assignments are travel-based and require staying onsite for the duration of the sale.
• Each project has a clear start and end date and defined performance goals.
• Consultants typically choose to work two to three assignments per year, with flexibility between
projects. This position requires a commitment to oversee sales in the 4th quarter each year.

• Compensation is project-based and commission-driven.

Required Experience
• Proven jewelry industry experience is required.
• Ideal backgrounds include former jewelry store owners, high-volume store managers, district or
regional managers, or independent jewelry sales professionals.
• Strong retail leadership, operational experience, and sales management capability are essential.
• This role is not designed for entry-level candidates or general retail professionals.
